Dashboard Confessional is an American rock band from Boca Raton, Florida, led by singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba. The band started out with Carrabba solely playing acoustically, yet eventually became a full band ensemble. Armed with an acoustic guitar and soul-baring song lyrics, Chris Carrabba became the poster boy for a new generation of emo fans in the early 2000s.
